Penn Mobile Solutions is seeking a talented and motivated Android Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mobile technologies and a proven track record of delivering high-quality Android applications.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency. Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Minimum years of Exp: 2+ years of professional Android development experience.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes. Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services. Strong understanding of modern mobile development principles, design patterns, and best practices. Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning. Proficient in Java/Kotlin. Experience with third-party libraries and APIs. Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications. Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines.
Tools: Experience with Android Studio, Git, and continuous integration.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with developing and deploying applications in the Google Play Store. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Knowledge of other programming languages and mobile platforms.
